There is a regular direct ferry service (approx every 30 minutes) from Bellagio (both car ferry and passenger ferries). Please note that there is a winter and a summer timetable (usually end May-October) and there are different services on weekdays (feriali) to Sundays and holidays (festivi).
By bus:
The C10 Como-Menaggio-Colico runs a service along the west lake shore. You can pay on the bus but it's easier and cheaper to buy in advance from a newspaper/tobacconist shop. The timetable is shown on (hhtp://www.asfautolinee.it/Lineeeorari/Librettiperlinea/Reteextraurbana/tabid/245/language/en-US/Default.aspx)
There is also a tourist "train" bus which runs between Lenno and Menaggio, past the church, every 30 minutes, with tickets available on the bus.
By train:
From Milan one can take the train to Varenna on the Milan-Lecco-Sondrio line and take the ferry to Cadenabbia.
