Wedding Blessings
The Church welcomes couples from any Christian belief wishing to celebrate their marriage with an English language service of blessing or a service for the renewal of their marriage vows.

The Church of England does not have jurisdiction to legally marry people in Italy, but couples are welcome to have their previous civil marriages blessed in the Church of the Ascension. The wedding blessing service is similar to the Anglican wedding service. It gives an additional commitment and fulfilment to a life together for those who wish to celebrate with their families and friends in the presence of God in a place of Christian worship.
With the agreement of our bishop and priest in charge, it may be possible to use the church with a priest from your home church. In recent years we have welcomed couples from Eastern Orthodox churches and in these cases the service can be in the couples native language and according to their tradition.
It may also be possible for our priest to celebrate your service in another local venue, such as one of the villas or hotels if you choose not to use the Church.
